Sidney D. Torres, IV has raised expectations and standards for waste management in New Orleans since 2006. Starting with SDT Waste and Debris services, Torres made it his mission to clean up the French Quarter and make it smell lemon-fresh every day.
Torres is a serial entrepreneur, managing 25 limited liability corporations, and employing 150 people. His work also includes real estate development, disaster relief, the FQ Task Force app, and the reality TV show, The Deed.
Torres reentered the waste disposal business in August 2016 with IV Waste. He was prompted to come back to the business by his previous clients and their desire for better service. As Owner and President, Torres oversees the day to day operations of IV Waste and is extremely hands-on with every major decision that impacts his company.
Julie Tufaro
Chief Executive Officer
As CEO, Julie Tufaro is responsible for the overall management of IV Waste. She also maintains relationships with IV Waste customers and assists the sales team on their sales efforts while handling all aspects of the operations.
Tufaro began working for Torres in 2005 and was previously Chief Administrative Officer of SDT Waste & Debris when she managed the company’s growth, City of New Orleans, and St Charles contracts. She has nineteen years of experience in the garbage business and attended Loyola University of New Orleans where she studied Management and Marketing.
